One of the most difficult parts of the healing process is finding the healer, therapist, or practitioner that better suits your needs. With so many options, how do you truly know what you are getting into until you are already there? And having to try and decipher all the specialties out there, as well as having to check credentials, or whatever else, adds a whole new level of difficulty. The task can become daunting.
My spiritual path or journey started over 30 years ago. I have worked with, and been exposed to, hundreds of healers, spiritual healers, shamans, personal coaches, channelers, and executive coaches. I have also done the whole personal development circuit, all over the world, in regards to retreats, workshops, and seminars. You name it, I’ve been there. I have invested hundreds, and even thousands of dollars in my inner growth and personal expansion. In a nutshell, I invested lots of time and money to get to where I am today. And I still do, especially with my daily rituals, because life is about growth and experiences, and that has no price tag.
Throughout this journey, I found some truths I live by:
Nobody is going to change you but you. The struggle is yours and the means are inside you. You have to do the work to change yourself;
Which means, YOU are your best healer;
The self-help industry is big enough to suck you in. Don’t let their psychological selling and marketing tactics sway you from your healing path;
Find someone who has walked the same path you are on. Whether you are dealing with past hurt or pursuing something you desire, find a person who has already reached his/her goals by walking the path you are on.
As someone who has walked the path and been through lots of great experiences, but also major disappointments, I now have a very good idea of who’s who, what’s what, and how things operate.
To help you through the process, I would like to share an episode regarding my experience.
At the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I was facing major financial uncertainty and a few new challenges as I had to shut down my business. A lot of negative emotions surfaced around my career and financial situation. Instead of panicking, I started taking action and researching expert healers who dealt with money issues.
In healing, intent is key. When you set a true intention, what you need will show up. Now, you need to understand that it isn’t just “ask and you shall receive”. Things don’t just fall on your lap, unfortunately. You need to actively research and pursue your goals, too. That’s what I did. I looked and searched and dug around. One day, I found a book on Amazon that instantly resonated with me, so I bought it and read it immediately. The message spoke to me on such a level that I reached out to the author and started private sessions on my subconscious and activations around money. I soon started feeling the shift. Next thing you know, I found a woman living two blocks from my house that provides family constellation therapy. I booked a couple of sessions with her and had additional major shifts.
Now, what does this story have to do with any of it? It has a lot. The point here is that you have to take responsibility. Do your own research. Ask the right questions to the healer. It is extremely important to make sure they are aligned with you and your energy. Don’t just google and see what shows up. Because for as many great healers you’ll find, you’ll find twice as many just focusing on taking your money. And how will you know the difference before it’s too late?
This is why I created Healify. I wanted a platform and community of authentic healers. Instead of taking hours to research and going through different wrong healers to find the right one, Healify is the place where you can come and trust to find the right resource and support system for your own personal journey.
